I was a great fan of hers. I didn't condone her lifestyle choices but her two albums; Frank and Back to Black are fantastic. I had tickets for her Dublin gig a few years ago but she cancelled and I was really disappointed about it.

As well as her musical talent, she was a style inspiration to so many young women. I completely credit her with my liquid eyeliner addiction and for reintroducing the beehive back into daily use. It was an image that needed no introduction as a Halloween costume; so familiar were the tattoos, beehive, eyeliner and short hemlines.
